The patterns in nature suggest to us that all things will renew in time.
That the universe rolls in and out like a tide seems intuitive,
but recent research suggests otherwise. The universe
will continue to expand
forever.
Eventually even the light will be gone, having travelled beyond all tolerable limits.
What will we call it? This non-light? This stretched light?
No external force will ever pull us back together.
Eventually we will all be lost, distant from all things. We will be thin light across the width of existence.
